Personal Identity

STYLE GUIDE, LOGO, BUSINESS CARD

I always begin a design project by sketching out my ideas in my sketchbook. Once I’m satisfied with my sketches, I move the process to Adobe Illustrator so that I can begin perfecting my ideas by choosing a typeface(s), color, shapes, and other important design elements. My logo came to me after seeing the letter W created with tiny dots on a popular designer’s website. I thought that a B created with large dots would be a subtle nod to my nickname, Becca, while still going by Rebecca as my professional identity. I chose a calming turquoise as my primary color and for my secondary colors, I chose black, grey, and white. After creating my logo and deciding on my color palette, I designed my business card and style guide in Adobe InDesign. My brand identity is simple, tranquil, and flexible.
